What we work on
Battery & Electrical
Battery testing, alternator and starter replacement, and electrical diagnostics. If your car will not start or you have warning lights you do not understand, bring it in and we will track it down.
Oil Changes & Maintenance
Conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic. We change the filter, top off the rest of the fluids, and look the car over while it is on the lift so small problems do not turn into bigger ones.
Alignments
Four-wheel alignments to keep your car tracking straight, your steering wheel centered, and your tires wearing evenly. If your car pulls to one side or you just put new tires on, bring it in and we will set it back to spec.

Compass Auto Repair is a small shop on Seminole Trail in Madison. The owner is a master technician with more than 15 years of experience, and most of our customers come from word-of-mouth around the county. We do the work ourselves, we charge a fair rate for it, and if your car needs something we cannot do here we will tell you who can.

Recent jobs from the bay
Brake pads and rotors on a 2019 Ford F-150. Customer brought it in with a grinding noise in the morning and picked it up that afternoon.
Check engine light on a 2016 Chevy Malibu. Traced it to a bad coil pack, swapped it out, cleared the codes, and test-drove it. No more misfire.
Synthetic oil change and filter on a 2021 Toyota RAV4. While we had it on the lift we noticed a slow leak in the right rear tire and patched it up before the customer left.
Four-wheel alignment on a 2018 Subaru Outback after new tires. Customer said it was pulling slightly to the right on the highway. Set it back to spec and sent it on its way tracking straight.
